Red Dawn has the wildtype allele at the extension locus (E+) and carries the brindle allele (Br). She is just beginning to express some brindling on the head. She also has the lineback color pattern (i.e., carries the SP allele at the spotting locus). Her ancestors are from at least five of the seven families of Texas Longhorns: WR, Phillips, Butler, Wright, and Peeler (although only a very small percentage of Peeler).
